Professor of computer science in Carnegie Mellon University, Randy Pausch, delivered a lecture in September 2007 on the subject of "Really achieving your childhood dreams." It was a part of a series of lectures where famous scientists were asked to give a hypothetical "last speech" — in order to speak to the whole world as if they knew this was their last chance. This lecture is different, because for Pausch, it became the last one indeed – he knew about pancreatic cancer he had, and doctors gave him terminal diagnosis: "Three to six months of good health left." Randy died on July 25, 2008, aged 47.
